What is a Virtual Assistant?

Technology today has made it not only possible, but very efficient to work virtually (i.e. work with another person who is not in the same office, city, state, or even country.) This is done via computer, internet, phone, fax, email, FedEx, and US mail.

A Virtual Assistant (VA) is a business owner who specializes in handling the administrative needs of clients from a distance. There are no geographical boundaries that would keep a VA from being able to work with you.  Anastacia Brice, founder of AssistU, provides this definition: A Virtual Assistant is a highly trained and skilled professional who, as a support and growth partner to entrepreneurs, business owners, and busy people, provides high level, long-term collaborative assistance without having to be physically present in the client’s office.  An AssistU-trained VA is a professional and a business owner who is dedicated to doing the best job possible for his/her clients.  There is no down-time for clients to pay for, nor any of the other expenses associated with an employee.  These things are taken care of by the VA and only time actually worked is invoiced.  Additionally, a professionally-trained VA is able to complete tasks quickly and efficiently.  A VA becomes invested in you and your business success, and is a partner to help you grow your business and reach your goals.

A VA has the desire to continue to learn and grow.  She is always looking for ways to improve her skills and processes to improve her practice, and in turn, creating more benefit for her clients.  VAs work together and are willing to share their knowledge and resources, which means that you benefit from the abilities and knowledge of an entire VA community.

When you partner with me, you will be working with a well-trained and professional Virtual Assistant, interested in your business and your success!  I am a graduate of AssistU Virtual Training Program; a 20-week intensive program designed to train and support administrative, personal, and executive assistants to work in the virtual world.  AssistU is known as the “Harvard of Virtual Training,”, and AssistU’s standards are the highest in the industry.  I have also been a Notary Public in the State of Arizona for over 20 years, and a Signing Agent for over 4 years.  As such, I offer notarial services for clients in my immediate area.

My business is founded on honesty and integrity, and a desire to provide outstanding administrative support.  If I cannot meet the needs of a client, or feel the partnership would not be to the best interest of both parties, I will assist in finding another VA who is a better fit.  I take all appropriate measures to assure that my partnerships with clients are of mutual benefit to each party.
